The restaurant chain is featuring Unami in three delicious new vegan maki rolls
Blue Sushi Sake Grill has debuted Unami™ at all 14 of its locations as part of the restaurant group’s new vegan maki roll category. This means that you can now try Unami, our eggplant-based alternative to eel, in a variety of innovative and decadent dishes.
Unami, which launched officially in September, is now available on Blue menus in three amazing new rolls. These new rolls join an additional Ahimi® roll for a total of four new vegan maki rolls featuring Ocean Hugger products. The new line up includes:
Vegan South Pacific and Unami Express
Unami Express
–Unami, pineapple, red pepper, Thai basil, vegan masago, scallion and sweet soy sauce
Unami Maki
–Unami, vegan cream cheese, avocado and sweet soy sauce
Vegan South Pacific
–Unami tempura, vegan cream cheese, pineapple, scallion and sweet soy sauce
Green Goddess
–Spicy Ahimi, cucumber, cilantro, shallot, avocado, black, vegan tobiko and ponzu sauce
Blue is the first national restaurant chain to serve Unami, and the opportunity to collaborate with the company on exciting plant-based options continues to be invaluable. Blue’s addition of a new vegan maki roll category is part of the chain’s ongoing effort to appeal to all guests, and to offer a menu with a truly robust selection of plant-based options.
